Good

The staff were friendly and helpful. Nice location in the heart of the shopping area. They have bicycles to use and a nice map with all the nice areas to go eating and shopping.

The fan in the room was a little loud for me and the toilet door was close to my bunk. Also, I got a flat tire on 2 of the bikes so please check before you set off exploring.

Pleasant stay, would return.

We were upgraded to a larger room (for 3) despite booking a twin bed at the last minute, which was very lovely of the staff. The room was very spacious and the staff were very flexible with check-in and letting us leave our luggage on-site prior to check-in. This is in a good central location with the bus stop very close by. Best of all, there are no odd smells (beware: there are a few budget hotels in Tainan that smell very strongly of smoke and this was the reason we had to switch to this hotel after the first night at our original booking).

The room was slightly shabbier than depicted in the photo and could use a touch up of paint - there was also no mini fridge which is something to note if you plan on bringing food back to the property and leave overnight. But for the price we paid, this was good value and we'd be happy to come back for short stays.

Staff was wonderful ! I received lots of great tips for delicious local food in the area :) Location is also excellent, in the middle of the nightlife area, hostel is quiet though.

Middle upper bunk bed lacked any privacy. No curtains and it was so close to one of the other upper bunk beds that the other person could even touch you

Super nice!

2nd time I stay at this property. Amazing super kind staff that try to make your trip nicer. Very large rooms. Very interesting location. Very good value. Also, the free rental bicycles were a complete game changer and made our trip a lot better. Super appreciated!

I wish there was a little bit more light in the bathroom. The bed wobbles.

Excellent value with a great location

The hostel lobby is very warm and inviting. The bed was very soft and comfortable. The location is wonderful, just a few blocks away from the shops and restaurants of the Shennong Street area. The rooms are air-conditioned, with towel and slippers provided. The owner was very welcoming. The price is very good for what you get, and I'd definitely stay here again if solo-traveling in Tainan.

The lockers in the shared dormitories for storing luggage don't come with locks. The bathroom, while serviceable, had a small leak by the toilet, and I saw a few ants. I believe the hotel is run by a family, so there is no full-time staff at the front desk. Thus, I had to wait for a few minutes for the owner to arrive to be able to check in.

Very Good

The hotel is in a really good position to visit Tainan (very close to a few main touristic spots and only 20 minutes of bus away from Anping). The room was spacious and nicely decorated, the bed was really comfortable and we had a lot of commodities included in the price. There is also the possibility of renting bikes, which is a big plus! The staff was very nice :)

There is not always someone at the front, so checking in took some time, but we were able to leave the luggages anyway. The room was overall very clean, but the shower area had some mold. It's nothing if you aren't too concerned by that, but if for example you are allergic it's probably not the best.

Generally, it is worth staying. The value of the accommdation is what I paid for.

Updated: 28 October 2022 (28.10.2022) • I am awarded with Genius Level 3 (one of the few highest rating users in Booking.com). • Stayed one night (between 25/10 & 26/10). • Dormitory room. One bed. Bed No.: 4 Early 60-80's design. Not difficult to find location, using Google map. +ve 1. Free & easy. In terms of, easy to self checkout. No deposit required. 2. Front desk lady staff is entertaining and extremely helpful. 3. Basic toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap), towel, slippers given. 4. Pricing is reasonable for a dormitory bed per night. 5. Water dispenser available on the first floor. 6. Staff allowed me to check-in early. Which is a big plus point! 7. Bicycle available to use freely.

-ve 1. I caught an adult cockroach (蟑螂) in the room. This is one big creepy minus point to bring the entire hygiene level. 2. Six empty out of eights beds are not really tidied even after check-in time.

Central location at a reasonable price

- Very friendly staff - Towel, toothbrush and shampoo provided by the accommodation. - Very good location (cafés, bars as well as sights in the immediate vicinity)

- Unfortunately, there is only one bathroom for the entire dormitory, which means that when one guest is in the toilet or taking a shower, the others have to wait.

Good location and good clean room.

The staff were great and spoke good English. The room was clean and the bed was nice. The shower had good pressure. Good location.

The lack of power sockets, the only one was very far from the bed, so I had to unplug to TV and use that socket.
